A little bit about us:

The SHAKTIPAT Kirtan Band is on a mission to keep the soulful practice of Kirtan alive at Ananda Ashram and other spiritual healing centers in Orange County, NY.

Rev. Kim Lesley is a professional musician, offering Kirtan for over 20 years in NYC at multiple yoga and spiritual healing centers. This has included singing and drumming in Gaura Vani's and Jahnavi Harrison's bands and attending Kirtan for 30 years at Shri Shri Radha Govinda Temple BK, as well as at Siddha Yoga and Ananda Ashram.

Priestess Jenni-Shanti is a singer- songwriter, modern medicine woman and ceremonialist, has spent the majority of her life immersed in music and prayer. Siddha Yoga Ashram in South Fallsburg, New York laid the foundation for her spiritual path. Drawing inspiration from her travels around the world, she taps into her indigenous roots, blending the ancient with contemporary. Her medicine melodies, sacred chanting and poetic landscapes transcend the ordinary. As the visionary of SUNSTONE Sanctuary, a Spiritual Retreat Center in upstate NY, she is devoted to the opening hearts and inspiring minds.

In the past several years, Avi has played music in the ceremonial concert space combining inter-cultural traditional ceremony music, original compositions, mediation music and Kirtan.

Todd Isler, drummer, percussionist, and author, has toured and studied around the globe, soaking up the flavors of Africa, India, Brazil, Japan, and many European countries. His playing and recording experience spans genres with musicians including Joe Lovano, Ivan Neville, Mike Gordon, Sizao Machado, Betty Buckley, Al Kooper, Melvin Sparks, Francis Mbappe, Bakithi Kumalo, Dave Liebman, Steve Turre, Jack McDuff, David Krakauer, and many others.
